United States Background:  The US is not the most efficient  in regards to responsible consumption and production (SDG 12). With the industrial revolution kickstarting our economy in the early 1800s, we've been contributing to CO2 emissions  far longer compared to the rest of globe. Gas guzzling trucks, lack of public transportation and companies   polluting  the air are big contributors  that negatively impact SDG 12.  With a population of 331,593,010 (Worldometer) and the country's main focus on capitalism, it is important that we are all wary of how we contribute to SDG 12. The US is known for being focused on industrialization since we are the land of opportunity.   However it is evident that going "green" is becoming more favored amongst the citizens and corporations. We are making a shift over to using more renewable energies and managing/reducing waste, directly reducing CO2 emissions and improving the health of citizens (Sustainable...

Retrieved October 05, 2020, from https://www.keidanrensdgs-world.com/post/about-this-website Background Japan is one of the top 15 populated countries in the world making SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production) a huge priority to the country. During the mid 1900's this country was catapulted to success by using coal, gas and wood as main sources of energy. However this had it's pros and cons. Economically the country was flourishing at the cost of the citizen's health which should never be the case. Because of the pollution caused by poor regulation of SDG 12 people were suffering from diseases such as  Minamata disease and Yokkaichi asthma during the mid (AZO Clean Tech). These adverse health affects makes SDG 12 a priority and issue for the country. Japan have targeted reducing pollution in a variety of ways. They have also begun targeting these issues before the UN 2030 Agenda was put in place becaus...
